Light Box Set Up

Before I was blessed with a light box I used this method. It works quite well.

Remove the leaf or center extension from you table.

Lay a sheet of plexi glass on top to bridge the opening.

Sit a lamp on the floor under the glass.

Lay your template and fabric on the glass. When the lamp is turned on you can see your template thru you fabric.

I purchased the plexi glass already cut from my local hardware store. You want it thick enough to withstand you resting your arms on it while you work. Mine is 1/4’ thick and measures 18 X 24 inches. Measure the opening on your table before you make a purchase to be sure your glass is large enough to bridge the opening with an extra inch or two on each side. You don’t want it falling in the hole while you are working. You can always close the table opening a little to get a better fit.
